Day 185: It’s usually not this crowded at this time of day but with St. Patrick’s Cathedral nearby and it being Ash Wednesday, plenty of people got on the train at the Lexington Avenue and 5th Avenue stations.

Track Workers Take Cover

Day 154: With the E train about to pull into the station, track workers move quickly to an opening in the side wall so the train can clear them safely.

Dumpster Train Flies By

Day 150: Better to catch this train making its run in the afternoon when the dumpsters are empty than late at night when they’re a little fuller and much riper.

The Long Walk Under 42nd Street

Day 147: The transfer from the 8th Avenue subway line to those in Times Square proper requires a long one avenue walk in a passageway underneath 42nd Street. Memo to the MTA: never make a transfer longer than this one ever again.
